What is a differential equation?
A differential equation is one where the derivative of a function is another function or a set of functions where you are always solving for y. In other words, it is an equation that has at least one derivative of y. A separable differential equation is one that can be written as "the derivative of f(y) = g(x)" which is essentially just getting x and y variables on opposite sides of the equations, integrating them, and then solving for y.
